Kolkata: In a significant step towards strengthening rural education and community development, the newly constructed Pranavananda Vidyamandir at Padmasree Mamraj Agarwala Bhawan in Mathurapur, South 24 Parganas, was Inaugurated. Mamraj Jayatri Foundation, has supported Bharat Sevashram Sangha to encourage the establishment and expansion of educational facilities for children in the region.
Pranavananda Vidyamandir, was inaugurated by Swami Biswatmananda, General Secretary of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, in the presence of dignitaries and members of the local community. The Bhawan has been named in honour of Padma Shri Mamraj Agarwala, whose legacy of philanthropy and commitment to social welfare continues to inspire initiatives focused on education and community upliftment.
Supported by Mamraj Jayatri Foundation along with Minu Prime Sarees, the initiative reflects a shared vision of promoting education and creating opportunities for children in underserved areas.
The newly inaugurated facility will initially function as a primary school under Pranavananda Vidyamandir, with plans to gradually expand into a full-fledged high school and eventually develop into a vocational training institute that will equip students with practical skills for the future.
Speaking on the occasion, Brahmanand Agarwala, President of Mamraj Jayatri Foundation and head of Minu Prime Sarees, said, “Our aim is to ensure that children receive quality education that helps them become responsible citizens and compassionate human beings. When we educate a child, we strengthen the nation. ‘Bachcha Padhao, Desh Badhao’ is the belief that inspires us to support initiatives that nurture young minds and prepare them to serve the country.”
Addressing the gathering, Swami Biswatmananda said, “This institution has been established with a long-term vision for the educational and social development of the region. We are beginning with primary education, and in the coming years the institution will grow into a high school and later a vocational training institute so that students can receive both academic knowledge and practical training.”

The initiative reflects Mamraj Jayatri Foundation’s continued commitment to education, social service and community development.
