Kolkata, 14th March 2026: The Bengal Home Industries Association (BHIA) hosted a special Spring Collection exhibition celebrating Bengal’s rich tradition of handwoven textiles and artisanal craftsmanship on Saturday, 14th March 2026 at its premises located at 172/3 Rash Behari Avenue, behind Triangular Park, entrance on Purna Das Road, Kolkata – 700029.
The exhibition highlighted the Association’s continued efforts to promote Bengal’s traditional handloom sector and provide a platform for skilled artisans and designers to showcase their work to a wider audience. The event brought together craft enthusiasts, members of the textile community, and patrons who share an interest in preserving Bengal’s centuries-old weaving traditions.
The programme commenced at 10:45 AM, followed by the formal inauguration of the Spring exhibition at 11:00 AM in the presence of Mr. GM Kapur, President of the Bengal Home Industries Association (BHIA). The event was graced by Madhumita Sarkar Guha, Founder & CEO of Luxe Living, who attended the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. GM Kapur, President of BHIA, said:
