KOLKATA, SEPTEMBER 24, 2024: Chef Rachit Kirteeman is all set to bring the treasures from Odisha’s magnificent coastline, hills, rivers, and its eclectic haats for dinner only at Sonargaon, Taj Bengal from 27th till 29th September.
The concept The Odisha Table – two curated platters with a selection of dishes from Odisha, which explore coastal Odisha as well as the state’s vegetarian dishes. The spread of both the platters will be accompanied by a variety of dips, chutneys, savoury steamed rice cakes and will be followed by a selection of desserts. The two platters on offer are The Vegetarian Platter and The Non vegetarian Platter.
Commenting on this, Chef Rachit Kirteeman said, “Odisha food is unique because it is an assimilation of a large number of people, influences, and traditions. What’s amazing is that it has not given rise to a homogenous culture and dietary practices but to many micro-cuisines that exist harmoniously side by side, without stepping on anyone’s toes. It is, arguably, India’s best-kept secret from a culinary point of view.”
