In the healthcare sector, both allopathic and homeopathic health centers have been set up to provide regular medical check-ups, diagnostics, and maternal care services, ensuring comprehensive well-being for the community.
Empowering women is another cornerstone of the initiative, with vocational training in tailoring, beauty therapy, and stitching being offered to young girls and women, enabling them to achieve financial independence. Additionally, Rotary Calcutta Mahanagar is extending support to local schools by upgrading infrastructure, supplying educational materials, and organizing awareness campaigns on hygiene, nutrition, and health.
This village adoption is more than a development initiative—it is a blueprint for rural transformation. Embodying Rotary’s core motto, “Service Above Self,” this project reflects how urban expertise and collective willpower can bring inclusive, community-led growth to life, setting a powerful precedent for rural empowerment in India.
