Kolkata, 18th May 2026: Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre, New Town recently launched a dedicated Child Development Centre (CDC), as part of its paediatric multispecialty expansion, responding to the rising burden of developmental, neurological, and behavioural disorders among children and strengthening access to integrated developmental care for children in Eastern India. The centre was launched in the presence of a multidisciplinary clinical team led by Dr. Indrasish Ray Chaudhuri, Consultant, Paediatric Neurology, and Dr. Debapriya Roy, Associate Consultant, Paediatric Neurology, bringing specialised expertise in the diagnosis and management of paediatric neurodevelopmental disorders.

As a veteran in child healthcare, Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre recognised the critical role of early diagnosis and timely intervention in improving developmental outcomes. With India witnessing a rising prevalence of neurodevelopmental conditions and access to comprehensive, multidisciplinary care remaining limited beyond major urban centres, the CDC has been established as a continuum of care model, offering integrated screening, diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation, and long term developmental support for children aged 0–18 under one roof.

The Child Development Centre (CDC) brings together a multidisciplinary team of paediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and special educators to provide comprehensive, coordinated, and child-centric care.It offers a comprehensive range of services, including advanced diagnostics, therapeutic interventions, neurorehabilitation, innovative therapies, and family-centred support such as counselling, caregiver training, and long-term developmental planning. Designed as a safe and sensory friendly space, the centre supports children with developmental and neurological conditions, scholastic challenges, behavioural concerns, and early developmental delays, while offering structured guidance and support to families and caregivers.

“Child development requires an approach that goes beyond episodic treatment to long term, coordinated care. Through the Child Development Centre, we at Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre, Newtown are building a model that brings clinical expertise, therapy, rehabilitation, and family engagement together to support children across every stage of development. This initiative reflects our commitment to strengthening specialised paediatric care in Eastern India,” said Mr. Parthiv Neotia, Joint Managing Director of Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited.

With a focus on early detection, holistic intervention, and family participation, the Child Development Centre (CDC) aspires to emerge as a regional centre of excellence in paediatric developmental care, contributing to improved functional outcomes, enhanced caregiver awareness, and more inclusive healthcare pathways for neurodiverse children in Eastern India.
