Kolkata: The Salt Lake AK Block Association successfully hosted the much-anticipated ‘Fatafati Football’ Day-Night Tournament on June 7 and 8, 2025, at the AK Block playground. With generous support from Kreamz as the official sponsor and Aditya Group as a key partner, the tournament witnessed an overwhelming response from players, football lovers, and residents alike, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and community bonding.
The tournament began on June 7 at 3 PM and was inaugurated with a grand ceremony. The event was graced by the Honourable Minister Sujit Bose and Honourable Mayor of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, Krishna Chakraborty. Football legends Dulal Biswas, Subrata Bhattacharya, Rohim Nobi, and Basudev Mondal attended as special guests, inspiring the young participants with their presence and encouraging words.
Mr. Sudip Mukherjee, General Manager – Operations, Aditya Group, shared his thoughts during the event, saying, “The passion on the field and in the stands was truly infectious. Supporting this tournament aligned perfectly with our vision of encouraging youth engagement through sports. The final day of the tournament, held on June 8, culminated in a grand prize distribution ceremony at 9:00 PM. Sukantanagar Sporting Club and Maa Maria Smriti Sangha faced off in a thrilling final match. Sukantanagar Sporting Club emerged victorious, claiming the winner’s title for this year’s Fatafati Football Tournament.
