Kolkata, August 30, 2026: JIS College of Engineering, Kalyani, a JIS Group Educational Initiative, successfully hosted its 7th Degree Award Distribution Ceremony on Sunday, August 30, 2026, celebrating the academic achievements and accomplishments of graduates from the batches of 2023, 2024 and 2025. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the institution as it honoured the graduating students and celebrated the beginning of their new professional journeys.
The ceremony was graced by several eminent dignitaries, including Ms. Moumita Biswas Misra, Hon’ble Minister of State at Industries, Commerce and Enterprises and Hon’ble Minister of State at Science and Technology and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal; Prof. Tapas Chakraborty, Vice Chancellor, MAKAUT, WB; Prof. Sukumar Mishra, Director, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad; Swami Sarvottamananda, Ramakrishna Mission, Howrah; Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group, Mr. Bidyut Majumder, Deputy Director, Business Development, JIS Group; Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Saxena, Pro Chancellor, JIS University and Prof. (Dr.) Partha Sarkar, Principal, JIS College of Engineering. The presence of the distinguished guests added significance to the occasion and inspired the graduating students as they embarked on the next chapter of their lives.
The ceremony brought together graduates, faculty members, academic leaders and distinguished guests in a celebration of academic excellence and institutional achievement. The graduating students were recognised for their dedication, perseverance and accomplishments during their years of academic pursuit at JIS College of Engineering.
