Honouring the Architect of Modern India: ECL Marks 135th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

Sanctoria, April 14, 2026: The programme commenced with the garlanding of Dr. Ambedkar’s statue at ECL HQ and the offering of floral tributes by Shri Satish Jha, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), ECL, in the presence Md. Anzar Alam, Director (Finance), Shri Niladri Roy, Director (Technical/OP), Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha, Director (HR), Shri Girish Gopinathan Nair, Director (Technical/P&P), representatives from CISTEA, INMOSA, CMOAI, SC/ST/OBC Council, ECL Welfare Board Members, ECL Corporate JCC members, ECL Safety Board members along with Union Representatives. The occasion reflected deep respect for the enduring legacy of the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.

Following the floral tribute, Shri Jha addressed employees, HoDs, union representatives and stakeholders, highlighting Dr. Ambedkar’s unparalleled contributions towards social justice, equality, and nation-building. He emphasised the continued relevance of Babasaheb’s ideals in guiding organisational values and inclusive growth.

The event also featured a cultural programme dedicated to honouring the life and vision of Dr. Ambedkar. The performances paid homage to his tireless efforts in uplifting society and fostering a spirit of unity and empowerment.

The observance reaffirmed ECL’s commitment to upholding the principles of equality, dignity, and social justice advocated by Dr. Ambedkar, inspiring all present to carry forward his vision in both personal and professional spheres.
