Kolkata – Genius Foundation, the CSR initiative of Genius Consultants Limited, one of the largest Workforce Solutions, Staffing Solutions, and HR Services in India, entered into the MoU with Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation, the social wing of Ascensive Educare Limited, to create Market Linkage and Entrepreneurship Development of the Embroidery Artisans from Kashmir and Banjara Community from Maharashtra. The project will be focused on development of market linkage, national and international, for the Artisans to develop entrepreneurs at grass root and instil the idea of working as a collective business. A special emphasis will be given to educate the Artisans on modern packaging technique.
Genius Foundation will provide fund to Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation as per the provisions of the MoU and Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation implement the programme.
The MoU was signed in presence of Mr. R P Yadav, Chairman & Managing Director, Genius Consultants Limited and Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee, Chairman of Ascensive Group of Companies in presence of Shri. Bikram Das, SEO, NSDC, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, Shri. Sudharshan Das, Asst. Director (H), Office of DC Handicraft, Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India and other eminent personalities from the Industry and Industry Association and Print and TV Media at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre on December 10, 2024.
During the ceremony, several Embroidery Artisans from Kashmir were joined virtually and voiced their need for such programme. They showed immense excitement knowing that Genius Foundation and Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation have taken such noble initiative.
All the Delegates and Special Guests put emphasis on such innovative programmes should be taken for the betterment of the Artisans and to promote the Local Heritage throughout the world.
