District 322B1 Cabinet Installation Ceremony 2025-26

‘Nabharambh’ – A Grand Celebration of Leadership, Legacy & Service

Kolkata, 6th July 2025: Lions Clubs International District 322B1 ushered in the new Lionistic Year 2025-26 with its Cabinet Installation Ceremony titled ‘Nabharambh’, held at the prestigious Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. The evening witnessed the gracious presence of International President (2025–26) Lion A P Singh as the Chief Guest, who was joined by Installation Officer – PID & Board Appointee Lion Sangeeta Jatia and Guest of Honour – PID Lion Prem Lahoty.

More than 800 delegates from over 90 Lions Clubs across the district gathered to witness the installation of the new Cabinet under the dynamic leadership of District Governor Lion Manju Chamaria. The event reflected the cultural pride and service spirit of Bengal, blending ceremonial elegance with a deep commitment to humanitarian service.

Before the formal installation began, Lions volunteers engaged in impactful service activities that embodied the essence of the Lions motto “We Serve.” Members came together to prepare dry ration packets, school bag kits, and toiletry kits for 1,500 beneficiaries, making it a meaningful start to the new Lionistic Year.

Under the global growth initiative Mission 1.5, eight new clubs were chartered and over 290 new members were welcomed into the Lions family during the first five days of the new year. These members were honoured on stage by International President Lion A P Singh, celebrating the district’s rapid and robust expansion.

A significant moment during the evening was the presentation of USD 100,000 to LCIF by 100 Melvin Jones Fellows (MJFs) from various clubs, reaffirming the district’s commitment to global community service and humanitarian efforts. The cheque was handed over to International President Lion A P Singh amidst applause and pride.

“India is not just leading the world in spirit, it is also leading in service. The commitment and innovation seen today by Lions of District 322B1 is a shining example of what our global movement stands for. I am proud to witness this new beginning,” said Lion A P Singh, International President (2025–26).

Expressing her vision for the year, District Governor Lion Manju Chamaria shared, “This installation is not just a change of guard, but a renewed promise to serve with heart and humility. With such an enthusiastic and visionary team, we are poised to make a real difference across our communities.”

The event’s success was made possible through the tireless coordination of the DG team, including Cabinet Secretary Lion Neetu Baid, Cabinet Treasurer Lion Daksha Shah, PRO Lion Vijay Jain, and Lion Nimesh Chaki, working under the able mentorship of Past District Governors Lion Kailash Khandelwal and Lion G L Chamaria. Their efforts ensured a seamless and inspiring celebration that set the tone for a powerful year of service ahead.
