Kolkata, December 16, 2025: South City International School hosted Chromatic-Z, a heartfelt celebration of art and imagination, bringing together creative expressions by students from Toddler to Senior Secondary. The whole-school art exhibition beautifully reflected the joy, curiosity, and visual storytelling of young artists, capturing their thoughts, emotions, and perspectives through colour and form.

The exhibition was graced by the Chief Guest, Sri Subrata Gangopadhyay, renowned contemporary painter and distinguished artist, who warmly appreciated the originality and sincerity evident in the students’ works. The school auditorium was transformed into a
vibrant canvas, where every artwork told a story of growth, exploration, and creative
confidence.

Sharing her thoughts on the occasion, Ms. Rupika Nath, Acting Principal, South City
International School, said, “Chromatic-Z was a deeply moving experience for all of us. Every piece of art reflected a child’s emotions, imagination, and courage to express. We believe art nurtures empathy, confidence, and self-discovery, and this exhibition stood as a testament to the beautiful journeys our students are on.”
Conceptualised by the Performing Arts Department, the exhibition reflected a holistic approach to creative education. Speaking about the vision behind Chromatic-Z, Ms. Mahuya Chakraborty, Head of Performing Arts Department, said, “Chromatic-Z was born from our belief that every child has a story to tell, and art gives them the freedom to tell it without fear or boundaries. This exhibition is not about perfection, but about expression, process, and the joy of creating. Seeing students across age groups embrace art with such honesty and confidence has been deeply fulfilling for us as educators.”

The exhibition drew appreciation from parents, educators, and guests, who were touched by the sincerity and depth of expression showcased by the students. Chromatic-Z reaffirmed the school’s belief that creativity is an essential part of learning and a powerful medium through which children find their voices.
