This year, the showcase brings together five distinct fashion sequences, each exploring a different idea, aesthetic and narrative.

1. AKAAR
Akaar draws inspiration from the expressive beauty of abstract folk art, combining imperfect lines, organic forms and geometric motifs.
Fitted tops, corsets and bustiers are paired with dramatic flare pants, shararas and flared skirts An earthy palette of autumn, moss green, pear grass, coffee brown, chocolate brown, sand and wheat creates a warm, grounded look.
Hand-painted folk motifs, Kantha embroidery and lace details bring traditional craft into contemporary silhouettes, creating a collection that is artisanal, expressive and modern.
2. DRAPED POWER
Draped Power explores the balance between structured workwear and the fluidity of festive drapes. Blazers, waistcoats and defined waistlines are paired with graceful drapes to create a contrast between sharpness and softness.
Red, black and oxidised gold add a rich festive character, while the styling reimagines workwear as contemporary occasion wear.
3. ASTITWA
Astitwa explores seven personas of a transgender individual, tracing a journey from hiding one’s identity towards accepting and embracing the true self.
The seven ensembles represent the Closeted Self, Calling Self, Conflicted Self, Mirroring Self, Metamorphosis, Protective Self, Harmonious self and finally True Self.

The silhouettes evolve from oversized and fluid forms to sharper, architectural and finally more confident shapes. Deep navy contrasted with vibrant Madras checks reflects the movement between introspection and self-expression. At its heart, Astitwa celebrates identity, transformation and the courage to be oneself.
4. NOCTURNAL DRIFTERS
This Western fashion collection draws inspiration from the energy of global subcultures, bringing together influences from punk, street culture, rave, grunge and alternative aesthetics.
Oversized sleeves, dramatic shoulders, layered panels, sculptural drapes and exaggerated volumes create an expressive visual language, while tie-dye, textures and minimal embroidery add an edgy character.
The collection celebrates individuality and self-expression, where different subcultural influences come together to create something distinctly contemporary.
5. ROOH-E-ΡΑΝΚΗ
Rooted in Indian heritage, Rooh-e-Pankh celebrates femininity as a quality that exists within every individual, regardless of gender. It explores compassion, nurturing, empathy, sensitivity, grace and resilience, qualities often associated with women, but universal in nature.

Grand lehengas are paired with structured corsets, creating a dialogue between softness and strength, White represents peace and purity, while vibrant Chattapatti patchwork adds colour and celebration. Embroidered birds symbolise freedom, hope and transformation.
The collection presents femininity as soft yet strong, graceful yet bold, while remaining deeply rooted in Indian heritage.
A Celebration of Culture
Adding to the fashion showcase, AGOMONI 2026 will also feature cultural performances by the students, bringing dance and the festive spirit together.
Through its fashion sequences and cultural performances, AGOMONI 2026 celebrates creativity, heritage, individuality and new beginnings, while giving students a platform to transform their ideas into fashion with confidence, skill and purpose.
