Kolkata, 31st August 2024: SPK Jain Futuristic Academy celebrated the birth anniversary of the renowned educator Maria Montessori with a unique family-centric event, ‘Fam Fiesta.’ This special celebration was designed to pay tribute to Montessori’s contributions to education by offering a day full of engaging and thoughtful activities that brought families together, fostering creativity and unity across generations.
The event was marked by the esteemed presence of Sri Jaydeep Patwa, Secretary of SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, and Dr. Jayeeta Ganguly, Principal of the Academy, who addressed the media. ‘Fam Fiesta’ featured a range of activities for all ages. The Art Corner offered creative expression through Balloon Splash, Vegetable Printing, and Pottery. Practical life skill activities like buttoning shirts and folding clothes helped children build independence, while the sensory section included sandpits and treasure hunts to engage their senses. Music and dance sessions added energy to the event, with Zumba Steps and storytelling fostering imagination and movement. The problem-solving area, with its focus on robotics and chess, encouraged logical thinking and creativity.
