GD Birla Centre for Education Hosts Former Indian Women’s Cricket Team Captain Jhulan Goswami on Children’s Day

Kolkata, November 14, 2024 – In an inspiring Children’s Day celebration, GD Birla Centre for Education welcomed legendary cricketer and former Indian Women’s Cricket Team Captain, Jhulan Goswami, to spend time with students and share words of encouragement. Goswami, an Arjuna Awardee renowned for her remarkable achievements and contributions to cricket, captivated students as she shared her journey, insights, and advice on pursuing dreams with passion and determination.
The event aimed to motivate young minds to set ambitious goals and stay committed to achieving them. Speaking to a hall filled with excited students, Goswami emphasised the importance of focus and resilience in realising one’s aspirations. “It is important to pursue your dreams and be focused on your goals,” she stated. “Success may come, but it is essential to be happy in what you do and to want to achieve.” Her message underscored that happiness and passion should be the driving forces behind any ambition.
The ace cricketer interacted closely with students, sharing anecdotes from her life and career, highlighting the challenges she faced and how dedication helped her overcome them. She encouraged the students to believe in themselves, prioritize their well-being, and cultivate a positive mindset as they navigate their unique journeys.
