Asha Next Gen Celebrates the 165th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore with “Megh Boleche Jabo Jabo” by Rema Chatterjee

Kolkata, 9th May: On the occasion of the 165th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Asha Next Gen has released “Megh Boleche Jabo Jabo”, a soulful rendition of the timeless Rabindra Sangeet vocals by Rema Chatterjee. The song premiered on 8th May on Asha Next Gen’s YouTube channel as a tribute to the legendary poet, composer, and cultural icon whose music continues to inspire generations.

The release features guitars by Tushnik Saha and music programming by Riddhi Ghosh, presenting a graceful blend of traditional Rabindra Sangeet and contemporary musical arrangement while preserving the emotional essence of Tagore’s composition.

Rema Chatterjee is a trained vocalist specializing in Rabindra Sangeet, light music, and semi-classical music. She began her musical journey at the age of seven under the guidance of her parents, renowned music teachers Uttam Chatterjee and Mriduchanda Chatterjee. Widely appreciated for her soulful and expressive performances, she has established herself as a dedicated artiste in the Bengali music industry.
She is also the founder of the Rema Chatterjee Music Academy and has appeared as a television artist on Gujarat-based VNM Channel. Honoured with a music award in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Rema has released several Rabindra Sangeet and Bengali independent tracks across major audio platforms.

Through this special release commemorating Tagore’s birth anniversary, Asha Next Gen continues its endeavour to celebrate Bengal’s timeless musical legacy while supporting artistes who carry forward the richness of Rabindra Sangeet for contemporary audiences.
