60th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet and B2B Expo by West Bengal Garment Manufacturers & Dealers Association

Kolkata, 12th July, 2026: The West Bengal garment industry comes alive with the 60th Garment Meet and B2B Expo being held over three days from 12th to 14th July, 2026, at Science City, Kolkata, spread within 2 lac sqft. area. This event, organized by the West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association (WBGMDA), which has been a pivotal part of the industry for 61 years, is expected to create significant business prospects. More than 1000 national and international brands will be featured in this 60th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet & B2B Expo, showcasing a wide selection of readymade garments for kids, men, and women, and it is projected to generate commercial dealings valued at around Rs. 1600 crore in the wholesale market.

The significance of the event for the state’s economy was underlined by the presence of the State Government and leading businessmen and prominent corporate houses who attended the event, demonstrating the significance of the Association’s endeavor in boosting the State economy. The event was inaugurated by: Sri. Samik Bhattacharya, State President of BJP, WB & Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha); Sri. Tapas Roy, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industries, Govt of WB; Sri. Umesh Rai, Hon’ble Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Urban Development of WB; Sri. Rajendra Singh Rathore, Former Member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly; Sri. Dilip Singh, MLA; Sri. Ritesh Tiwari, MLA along with notable figures such as Sri. Hari Kishan Rathi, President of WBGMDA; Sri. Vijay Kariwala, Senior Vice President of WBGMDA; Sri. Pradeep Murarka, Vice President of WBGMDA; Sri. Devendra Baid, Hon. Secretary and Sri. Manish Agarwal, Executive Committee Member of WBGMDA and many others.

On this occasion, Sri. Hari Kishan Rathi, President of West Bengal Garment Manufacturers & Dealers Association stated, “The 60th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet & B2B Expo marks a significant milestone in the journey of WBGMDA. Over the years, this platform has evolved into one of Eastern India’s most important business networking events for the garment industry, bringing together manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and leading brands under one roof. With participation from over 1,000 brands and buyers from across India and overseas, we are confident that this edition will further strengthen trade partnerships, create new business opportunities, and contribute significantly to the growth of West Bengal’s garment and textile sector.”

Speaking to the media, Sri. Devendra Baid, Hony. Secretary of West Bengal Garment Manufacturers & Dealers Association stated, “The garment industry is one of the largest employment generators and a vital contributor to the state’s economy. Through this B2B Expo, our objective is to provide a dynamic platform where businesses can connect, explore emerging market trends, and expand their reach. We are grateful for the overwhelming support from the Government of West Bengal, industry stakeholders, exhibitors, buyers, and our members, whose continued encouragement has enabled WBGMDA to successfully organize this landmark 60th edition. We believe the event will generate business worth nearly Rs. 1,600 crore and further accelerate the growth of the industry.”

About WBGMDA: The West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association is one of the leading organizations in Eastern India, representing the ready-made garment industry and its commerce. Founded in 1962, the organization offers specialized services with the goal of promoting the growth of the ready-made clothing sector. The Bharat Chamber of Commerce is in charge of its operations. The association, which has more than 570 members, is governed democratically and run by a core committee, committee members, and co-opted individuals, all of whom are dedicated to improving the organization and serving its members.
