
The West Bengal Poultry Federation has been organizing the Poultry Fair since 2012 in association with the Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal. Like previous years, we are organizing it again this year. The 11th Kolkata International Poultry Fair 2025 will be held from February 12, 2025, to February 14, 2025, at the Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre, Newtown, Kolkata, West Bengal – 700156.Additionally, on February 11, 2025, we will be conducting an International Conference on Poultry Business at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Newtown, Kolkata, West Bengal – 700156, starting from 10:00 AM onwards.
The objective of this poultry fair is to enhance the growth of the poultry industry in West Bengal and its neighbouring states, including the North Eastern States of India like Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Manipur as such. Apart from farmers, the event will be attended by renowned poultry experts, industry leaders from different parts of India, and speakers from across the country. Poultry producers from India and neighbouring countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar will also participate.
This year, we anticipate a larger number of international participants setting up stalls, in addition to Indian exhibitors. The total footfall is expected to exceed 30,000 visitors.

On 11th February 2025:
NOVACON: A whole day International Conference on Poultry Business (NOVACON) has been arranged by us followed by inauguration of the 11th Kolkata International Poultry Fair 2025. Eminent Speakers from reputed organisations from different parts of India & Outside India will deliver their lectures in the presence of expert panels viz Additional Chief Secretary, Directors of State Government Officials, etc. for technological development of the farmer and industry in this seminar.
From 12th February to 14th February 2025:
Student Zone: This event is primarily designed for students from colleges. Eminent experts in Poultry Science and professors from the West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences will educate students on various poultry-related topics. This initiative aims to inspire and equip them with the knowledge needed to become future entrepreneurs in the poultry industry or pursue professional careers in this field.
12th February 2025:
PAN India Broiler Coordination Committee Meeting: The agenda for the Pan India Broiler Coordination Committee meeting is to discuss strategies for increasing chicken consumption across the nation. According to the ICMR recommendation, the average meat consumption should be 10.8 kg per capita per year, whereas the current consumption stands at 7.4 kg.
13th February 2025:
Technical Seminar: This seminar module is designed for poultry farm production personnel to enhance their day-to-day farming practices. The seminar will be conducted in Bengali and Hindi, specifically for poultry farmers and poultry industry professionals. It will cover the latest developments in poultry farming, helping participants stay updated with modern techniques and best practices.
Eastern India Poultry Development Forum Meeting: The Eastern India Poultry Development Forum will convene to discuss strategies for the growth and development of the poultry sector in the Eastern and North Eastern region of India. The meeting will focus on key challenges, opportunities, and policy recommendations to enhance poultry farming, production efficiency, and market expansion in the region, as the ICMR recommendation of per capita consumption of egg per should be 180 eggs but current data shows only 104 per capita per year, so for the goal of increasing per capita consumption in the region massive promotional campaign shall be put forth.
Cultural Programme: A cultural program with dinner will be held at the Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre on February 13, 2025. The event will feature a special performance by singer Albert Kabo Lepcha.
14th February 2025:
Closing Ceremony: The event will end with the closing ceremony at the Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre ground.
