Santoria, 24th December 2025: As part of the Golden Jubilee Lecture Series of Coal India Limited, Shreegauri Sawant, eminent transgender rights activist and noted social worker, visited Eastern Coalfields Limited on 25th December 2025.
The distinguished lecture session, held at the auditorium of Ramakrishna Mission Asansol from 3:00 PM onwards, focused on the theme “Transforming Challenges into Strength: Lessons in Resilience for Corporate India.” Upon arrival Shreegauri Sawant was warmly welcomed by Director (Finance), ECL, Md. Anzar Alam, followed by a brief introduction of Shreegauri Sawant by Shri Madan Mohan Kumar, General Mining (Mining), HRD, ECL.
Drawing from her personal journey and extensive social work, Shreegauri Sawant delivered an inspiring address underscoring the values of resilience, perseverance, inclusivity and empathy in professional and organizational life.
The event witnessed the presence of the Functional Directors of ECL – Md. Anzar Alam, Director (Finance), Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha, Director (HR), Smt. Deepti Patel, CVO, along with Corporate JCC Members, Corporate Welfare Board Members, HoDs, executives and employees of ECL, who actively engaged with the discourse. The session served as a meaningful platform for reflection and learning, reinforcing Coal India Limited and ECL’s commitment to fostering inclusive thinking, social sensitivity and human-centric values as part of their Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The session came to an end with vote of thanks by Shri Ranadeep Bhattacharya, Manager (Mining), Human Resource Development Department, ECL.
